Microsoft Teams (an application of Microsoft Office 365 e-messaging and e-collaboration system) provides faculty and support staff at the College of Arts with the ability to conducy live meetings and interact with students remotely through Virtual Classrooms technology. In such meetings, students and professors can remotely participate live in interactive online lectures through audio and video using any desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet computer. The system can also be used to achieve electronic collaboration and interaction with students by using chats and synchronous application sharing and virtual whiteboards. The system can also be used to publish electronic notes, presentations and other shared educational resources that can be used by teachers and students in the virtual classroom. Live meetings can also be recorded for students to view later online.

This site provides the faculty members and the supportive academic staff at the College of Arts with training instructions and videos about using of Microsoft Teams system and other tools for the application of synchronous and asynchronous distance teaching.
